Offline Activation Workflow

For customers that purchased the licensing add-on: Offline activation.

Step 1: Install OVITO Pro

Install OVITO Pro on the air-gapped machine and start up OVITO Pro for the first time. When the activation dialogue opens, take note of your individual Machine ID and User ID.

Step 2: Visit the Website

On a different machine with internet access, visit ovito.org and log into your personal account. Proceed to the self-management area called Purchase History and click on “View” next to your license key, followed by “Manage installations.”

Step 3: Generate License File

You should now see a web form to create your license file. Enter the Machine ID and User ID codes from Step 1 along with your account email address. Generate and download the license file.

Step 4: Import the License File

Transfer the license file to the air-gapped machine and use the “Import license file…” function in the activation dialogue.
