What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Registering on this site will allow you to download software, access additional information, and contact us. Registration requires the communication of some personal data:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email address
  • Country
  • Affiliation (institution or company name)
  • Professional status
  • Link to your website 
  • Uploaded profile pictures
  • Personal password (stored in hashed form)

Additionally, we collect information submitted as part of support requests, comments or forum posts, which are not ”personal data” per-se but that may be protected by author’s rights.

How long we retain your data

For users that register on our website, we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. The user profile is kept indefinitely, unless you request its deletion through our website. Note that website administrators can see, edit or delete your provided information.

If you post in our online forum, the post and its metadata are retained indefinitely. 

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
